David Yost is an American Actor and Producer. He is most recognized for his role as Billy Cranston, the Blue Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Yost starred in over 200 episodes of the original Power Ranger franchise and starred in the 1995 movie, Power Rangers: The Movie, which was produced by 20th Century Fox. Yost returned to the Power Ranger franchise in 2023 reprising his role as Billy Cranston for the 30th Anniversary Special “Once & Always” as well as starring in all 10 episodes of the series “Cosmic Fury.” Both “Once & Always” and “Cosmic Fury” stream on Netflix.
As a Producer, Yost has worked on numerous scripted and reality TV shows, most notably the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Bravo, Temptation Island for Fox, and Burning Love for E!.
On a corporate level, he has served as the Director of Production & Administration at the Sci Fi Lab for the SyFy Channel in which he was an integral part of developing original content for the Network. As well, he was the Manager of International Licensing for Pioneer/Geneon Entertainment in which he licensed the broadcast rights for Anime to US Broadcasters and licensed the DVD/Broadcast rights on a global level.
Yost lives in Los Angeles and continues to act and produce within the Entertainment Industry.
